Responses to Part One:

We just had our second meeting last night of the new KC Satsang with 6 members, as I found a nice local university with a “mindfulness room” complete with a DVD player. I just received a inquiry today, so hopefully we will grow into what EE envisioned for our worldwide family. The first video of the fiftieth anniversary inspired me to start the KC Satsang, as I was moved to tears watching it on my home computer at the same time it was being played in California at the BMCM.

Congratulations to BMCM on the 50th anniversary of Sri Easwaran’s visit to the USA to begin his work. My gratitude also to every one over the past 50 years who helped play a part in the work of the BMCM. I think that it is evident in the DVD that Eknath Easwaran had an immense love for all life. I don’t believe that love will ever be diminished because now it is in all of us. What great news for our friends and families – what great news for the world!

I’ve been meaning to write and thank the folks at BMCM for creating the anniversary video series posted on the BMCM website. Seeing the interviews, the new (for me) photos and stories was like finding a treasure. I really enjoy hearing about Easwaran's life. I also enjoyed seeing a video of Eawaran outside of a lecture setting – I’ve been interested in seeing him in natural setting – “how does he talk? how sit? how move about?”

Thanks so much, Joe

Thank you so much for that wonderful video. It is an inspiration to all of us out here in the hinterlands to be able to see this amazing teacher . . . read his story . . . and hear his voice.

These segments were wonderful!! I love Christine's lilting, charming, southern voice!

Our satsang watched the second half of Quietly Changing the World last night. Everyone has been moved by the experience. I know that each time I see it, it sparks a new level of commitment in me.

This is the first time I saw Easwaran in video. I have loved him ever since I first discovered him in Gandhi the Man. Continuing to read his works further, I’ve often lamented that I didn’t know about him when he was on the earth so that I might have met him. Now, to see that beautiful face, his eyes so full of love and light, and to hear him speak, slowly, mindfully – the way he recommends we repeat our pasages in our hearts – I am left with a deeper impression of the person who represents so powerfully to me, the person I hope to someday become. I am so grateful to you for the work you do, and for sharing these precious videos with us.

Sending peace and love from Northern New Mexico, Mary

I just finished listening to part 1 on the website. Thank you so very much for spending the hours that were required to put this together. It helps to fill in some of the gaps in my knowledge of Easwaran's life which I was not privileged to be a part of. It inspires me to be more faithful, more courageous. I look forward eagerly to the continuation of this series. Thank you, Christine and all. God bless you.

Namaskars!

Thank you for the invitation to view the video titled "Quietly Changing The World" on our dear teacher. It is very well done and i would like to extend my congratulations and thanks to BMCM for this effort. This video truly expresses the kind irresistable force that i have found for myself in his words -written and heard. I would also like to thank Madam Easwaran for sharing her perspective. Like all BMCM messages, this one is sincere and compelling!

With best wishes,

Dear Christine,

Sri Easwaran really was back in India too for this 50th anniversary of leaving his home country. He had come back full circle and thanks to all of your loving leadership, I was able to get our almost full group of 13 people attend the session. We watched the DVD you sent us and Christine it was wonderful to welcome you into our satsang hall on large screen. Thank you for your loving message.

We were 13 in all, one Buddhist white American, one Catholic black American, 1 Indian of Sikh religion and 10 Indians who were Hindu. We read your message out, watched the DVD, meditated for 30 minutes and then enjoyed mango juice and murukku (a handmade crisp snack typical to Kerala and Tamil Nadu). We loved being in Sri Easwaran's and your loving presence. Each person shared what they had learnt in the past year of being in our satsang. Thank you for this opportunity and for including us in the Sri Easwaran family.

I feel blessed and would gladly make this my life's mission.

We watched the programme with great pleasure and interest at the London satsang on Sunday 13 July.

Hammersmith Quaker Meeting House has been the home of the London satsang since the group was formed, and three Quakers have been members of the satsang over the years. I was pleased to learn of the important role played by a Quaker in the early years of Sri Easwaran's work in the US.

Thank you for sending us the DVD.

We watched the DVD at Saturday Satsang (yesterday), and I learned for the first time of Sri Easwaran’s inner voyage, how English literature did not satisfy the questions that kept coming to him, answers to which he would find in the Gita and in other sacred scriptures. I did not know of this struggle, and I am happy to hear it from him in this video. I might have known, however, since Sri Easwaran again and again so accurately describes our condition as human beings and shows us the way forward through meditation and the other program points. You all have produced a beautiful film, worthy of BMCM, worthy of Sri Easwaran.

Barney, Cary, North Carolina

This was a wonderful opportunity to get to know our teacher better. I look forward to the remaining editions.

When I see the obstacles he overcame, it makes mine seem that much more manageable.
